Free Bike Riding Lessons in Condado, San Juan PR

On the last Sunday of each month we will offer free bike riding lessons to the public at 9am.

Next free bike riding class is March 29th, 2020.

You can bring your own bike or we will provide a bicycle for you to ride for a limited number of participants.

I’m Mark Derho and I am a cycling advocate and the owner and operator of BIKE RENT PUERTO RICO. I’m happy to personally teach you how to ride a bicycle for free, because biking is awesome.

We’ll train to ride safely on the beautiful Condado Lagoon’s car-free bike path.

Yes you can learn how to ride a bicycle safely and have fun.

Riding a bicycle is good for you because of the well-documented health benefits and the positive changes in your mood. Bikes are also an excellent mode of short-distance transportation and increased bicycle riding benefits individuals and the community.  

We will perform this on the last Sunday of each month in the morning at 8am. 

Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. 

No flip-flops. Helmets are provided, and everyone participating must wear a helmet when riding.

This is an English-language class and the instructor does not speak Spanish. 

Mark repairs a flat bicycle tire at Castle El Morro in Old San Juan.

Great shop! We rented 2 nice, new bikes for the week (helmets included). This is the place to go. And the best way to get around the surrounding area (Condado, San Juan, etc). Many streets in the area have a green paved lane for bikes which makes it safe and easy. The staff here are super nice and willing to answer any tourist question.

The bikes mark provided were perfect for San Juan. I used it a ton over the week and a half and it was a fun smooth ride even over the cobble stones. Good shocks are key. Weird thing is almost no one bikes in SJ despite some sweet dedicated paths near the ocean. Drivers can be a little crazy but I hope more people start biking. Then again it was nice to have all the paths to myself.

Great bike hire and great bikes. If you want to see San Juan this is the way to do it. The service offered is really good and bikes are in great condition, with locks and helmets. Would definitely recommend any one to use who wants to travel at your own pace, get further afield and see San Juan.
